Good Advice

In the last couple of days another Milkman has been found 'worse the wear' or drunk in charge of his van in the early hours of the morning. The Scottish Government has lowered the limit for the amount of alcohol found in vehicle driver's blood. Drink driving is a problem through out Scotland.  One of the guys in the local neighbourhood does it all the time. He works for a Sub-Sea cable company in Aberdeen and travels around most of the NE of Scotland. His local pub is open till 1:30am. He's there every night for at least 5 hours. we often hear him staggering home in the early hours. He's away for work at 7-7-30 am. He tries to disguise the smell of alcohol by strong aftershave and by using Listerine (which contains Alcohol) and 'smokes like a lum'. He is a  nice guy, but belongs to the generation which heavy drinking was the norm. 5-6 pints (strong beer/lager not the lemonade you get in the US) usually with the same number of glasses of whisky. A Head chef I worked with, breakfast was a half pint of lager and a whiskey every morning at 10:30.
